Mick Harrington
Mick Harrington has become a familiar face and voice at the Glenreagh Timber Festival, playing an important role in bringing the event to life year after year. A passionate supporter of regional events and communities, Mick’s connection with the festival spans many years, helping create the welcoming atmosphere that has made the Glenreagh Timber Festival one of the region’s most loved annual celebrations.
A highly accomplished Australian musician, Mick has built an impressive career performing across the country. Best known for his appearance on The Voice Australia, his powerful vocals, engaging stage presence and authentic storytelling have earned him a loyal following and seen him share his music with audiences of all sizes.
In 2026, Mick returns to the Glenreagh Timber Festival as the official Master of Ceremonies, guiding festival-goers through a packed program of woodchopping, entertainment, markets and family activities. Festival visitors will also have the opportunity to experience Mick’s music firsthand, with live performances on both Friday and Saturday night, bringing his signature blend of energy, heart and country hospitality to the weekend.
Whether he’s performing on stage or keeping the festival running smoothly as MC, Mick Harrington is proud to be part of the Glenreagh Timber Festival tradition and looks forward to welcoming visitors from near and far for an unforgettable weekend in Glenreagh.
Katie Brooke & Band
Rural based country artist Katie Brooke has a unique way of weaving her experience on the land, her vulnerable storytelling and her awe-inspiring vocals into her artistry. This authentic approach has led her to an abundance of success including her single ‘Too Far Down’ being named number 1 most charted song on the Australian Country Radio station for 2023.
The Academy of Country Music (junior and senior) graduate was crowned winner of the Listen Up Music Songwriting Prize – Gold Coast Semi Final in 2023 and is now on the judging panel of the esteemed national songwriting competition.
No stranger to gracing the stages of major festivals such as Tamworth Country Music Festival and Buck Wild Country Barn Sessions, Katie has also opened for huge national acts such as The Black Sorrows and Shannon Noll and household country names such as Brooke McClymont and Adam Eckersley and recently Josh Setterfield.
At the beginning of 2024 Katie was named brand ambassador for Thomas Cook, Wrangler, Pure Western and Twisted X boots, country brands that complement her distinct, stand-out boho-western style.
As a teenager, Katie launched her career hosting and performing on the iconic Jim Haynes Breakfast Show during Tamworth Country Music Festival. One of her most memorable performances to date was opening the Australian National Finals Rodeo singing on horseback, a rare and notable talent.
A country artist who truly lives and breaths it, Katie grew up on traditional country music and was raised on a beef cattle property in Northern NSW. She continue’s to live on the land to this day believing it’s a fundamental part of staying genuine to who she is as a country artist.

The Redeemed
The Redeemed are a Bellingen indie-country band turning heads with heartfelt songwriting and engaging live shows. Blending blues-rock grit with a warm country-folk heart, they layer soaring harmonies over driving rhythms, with banjo and mandolin adding rich, acoustic sparkle.
Winners of Best Bush Ballad at the 2026 Australian Country Music People’s Choice Awards in Tamworth, they deliver stirring, relatable songs built for singalongs.
Misfit Rebel Alliance
Misfit Rebel Alliance are a Yamba based Indie Folk duo/trio that are rapidly rising on the local scene. Featuring distinctive vocals and melodies with gentle and supportive guitar riffs, Misfit Rebel Alliance will take you on a journey of love, loss and finding joy in the simple things.
Their latest single, Feel The Sun reached the semi finals of the International Songwriting Competition in 2025 and was performed live on air at the ABC North Coast Radio station in Lismore to celebrate and promote their gig during the Highland Gathering in Maclean in April this year.

Mak & Shar
Mak & Shar are one of Australia’s most refreshing new country-pop duos, known for their tight sibling harmonies, modern production and energetic live performances. With a fastgrowing fanbase and a distinctive sound that blends heartfelt storytelling with contemporary country-pop, the brothers have quickly emerged as standout voices in Australia’s next wave of country artists.
Raised on music and performing together from a young age, their natural chemistry is the thread that runs through everything they create. Shar toured nationally with Hugh Jackman in The Boy From Oz, while Mak built a career in national TV commercials, film, television and theatre. Both appeared in the musical Quambatook, the story of John Williamson’s childhood, a project that deepened their connection to music and laid the groundwork for their partnership as a duo.
Since officially launching in 2022, they’ve built a loyal online audience of more than 45,000 fans and earned recognition early on, with their debut single Kill Me Softly reaching the semi-finals of the International Songwriting Competition.
Their momentum carried into 2024 and 2025, with the duo taking the stage at some of Australia’s biggest festivals including Deni Ute Muster, Gympie Music Muster, Groundwater Country Music Festival and the Tamworth Country Music Festival. Their reputation for highenergy live shows has made them one of the most talked-about emerging acts.
2025 marked a major breakthrough with the release of Counting Clouds, which debuted at #1 on the Australian Country Radio Chart. The single went on to receive widespread international airplay across major country stations in the UK and US, earning praise from industry programmers and further solidifying Mak & Shar’s growing profile beyond Australia.
With new music on the horizon and an increasing presence across national and international stages, Mak & Shar continue to build their sound, expand their audience and cement themselves as one of Australia’s most promising modern country-pop duos.
Russian Roulette
Russian Roulette – built for the people. A love of entertaining in live settings has been channelled through popular covers, medleys, sing-alongs, dance-alongs and tasteful crowd engagement. Loyal to connection and fun with the live audience, Russian Roulette choose to move across genres and through the decades to include the whole family, young and old.
The duo is composed of Dan on vocals, rhythm guitar, foot stomp and harmonica and The Russian (Rouslan) on lead guitar, slide guitar, banjo-guitar-hybrid and backing vocal, both hailing from the Coffs Coast.
Kaya Boom
Kaya Boom is a multi-instrumentalist and seasoned performer having played at festivals all over Australia such as Falls, Woodford, and Sydney Festival. He has been a passionate drum teacher for over 22 years, teaching community classes, school groups, workshops and one-on-one lessons.
Kaya Boom and the Samba Soul drum crew will have you up and dancing with their Soulful beats, funky tunes that take you on a rhythmic journey.
